Total Gym Ultra Assembly Manual

Our wheels cost a little more to buy, but they last almost forever (none of the well over 250,000 Wheels that we have shipped since 2003 have broken). In the long run they are MUCH less expensive than any of the alternatives available. We are the ONLY company to precision machine our wheels from expensive engineering plastic and machine a precision stainless steel bushing to protect our very high quality double shielded imported bearings (none of our bearings have worn out).

These are the reasons that we have a 15 year breakage and bearing warranty for our wheels. Compare to the the 0-3 year warranty from all the other wheel providers.

The Total Gym Ultra is a relatively basic version of the Total Gym. It doesn't come with a squat rack or toe bar but does have a pullup attachment, dip bars and leg attachment. Although this model is discontinued, it still pops up in garage sales and classified ads from time to time. Total Gym machines are part of the one-machine-for-multiple-exercises group of fitness equipment. While other strength training equipment are specifically built for one or a few different exercises, you can use the total gym to workout the entire body. Extend Total Gym®out in the following manner: (4a) Place one hand on the edge of the frame. With your other hand, take hold of the support column and begin to pull it out until the frame is lying flat on the floor. Be sure to support the frame in the center to avoid having the product drop suddenly onto the floor. Like all Total Gym products, the now-discontinued Total Gym 1000 arrives at your door fully assembled. But that doesn’t mean it’s ready for immediate use. You still have to “assemble” the Total Gym, deploying it into exercise mode from the compact, folded storage mode it arrived in.

If you have the wheels in the picture, the metal bearing fits completely inside the plastic wheel and is actually recessed inside the wheel about 1/8″ on both sides. It usually has 626Z stamped on the side of the bearing. This is the most common wheel found on the Total Gym 2000 and 3000, but it is found on some 3000XL and a few early XL models too. The outside to outside dimension of the upper-rails is 9 5/8 to 9 3/4″.

Large Frame Style 2 (Usually Infomercial) Total Gym®

If your wheels look like this picture the metal bearing protrudes about 1/4″ outside the wheel on one side and it is recessed inside the wheel about 1/8″ on the other side. This wheel is found mostly on the Total Gym 2000, 3000, a few 3000XL, and a very few early XL models. The outside to outside dimension of the upper-rails is 9 5/8 to 9 3/4″

The hyper-strong XL Conversion Kit with Axles is the only replacement for the Style 2 Large Frame Total Gym® with the doughnut shaped roller wheel that has the bearing that protrudes about 1/4″ outside the wheel on one side.

Large Frame Style 3 Total Gym® (Some 3000XL, Most XL, All XLS, & FIT)

Note: THIS IS NOT THE XLi; THE XLi IS A SMALL FRAME TOTAL GYM!
